Many years of sketching and studying Jerusalem motivated me to create this work. Chapter 128, pasuk (verse) 5, in the Book of Tehillim (psalms) inspired me with a timeless vision of Jerusalem.
Included in the composition of the piece is the Kotel (Western Wall), the Zion gate, the Sir Moses Montifiore Windmill and the Churvah Synagogue. Native Olive and Pine trees are interspersed throughout the landscape.
This limited-edition is a laser reproduction of the original hand executed papercut. The colored background paper is a Giclee fine art print of a hand painted oil canvas of the Ma’arat HaMachpelah in Hevron. The English calligraphy and gold gouache are hand applied. The deckled edges are hand finished. Each piece is hand-signed, numbered and stamped by the artist.
