It has been said that if the stones of the Kotel could express themselves, they would shed tears from all those who have prayed with such intensity to The Master of the Universe. It is a place where the prayers of the entire world converge and ascend to Heaven. At the base of the Kotel, people from all walks of life come together to pour out their hearts before G-d. I have tried to capture in this painting the energy and emotions one can feel in this most precious place. The ten souls pictured are each in their own stage of communication with the Holy One, Blessed be He, giving hint to each person’s life-long struggle to connect to their G-d given purpose in this world.
